Varietal Listing

I’ve decided I’d like to track which varieties of grape I’ve been drinking, in the same way I’ve been mapping the origins of wines on the map page.  It’s slightly more complicated, in that while a wine will typically be from a specific place (and if it’s not, the office of the producer is usually good enough), while a wine may be a blend of many varieties.

So, the object of this page is to track grapes based on what I’ve had, and under each grape, to list the wines that correspond to it, indicating if the grape in question constitutes 100% of the wine, the majority, or less than half.  So a Bordeaux blend might hit several grapes, with at most one in the majority and several other contributing factors, while a Burgundy will likely be 100% varietal.

Should I manage to document 100 wines that are different varietals, I’ll have to post it over on Vinodiversity.  Bold names indicate I’ve had a varietal (49 so far), otherwise I’ve only tasted the grape as part of a blend.
