Who is this drunk guy?
You’re here, you’re reading, and perhaps you’re wondering who’s posting? Well it’s not exactly a secret, but just much more likely I’m someone you don’t know. I’m just someone with a domain and blog. I’m also someone who likes to drink and to write while drinking.
I’m intentionally keeping things vague, both because I feel a bit more freedom to write what I want without having to think about who is reading it, and because frankly my name and personal details aren’t all that interesting. If Wikipedia is to be believed, ‘anonymity’ is derived from a Greek word meaning ‘without a name’ and more originally ‘without law’. I prefer the original meaning, which works here on two levels. First, I can’t be effectively judged here if my identity remains undisclosed, and second drunkenness is at times an extenuating circumstance in the view of the law. (Note, I’m not suggesting that the latter is a necessarily good thing, but such is life.)
That said, obviously if I write anything it will include information about me. I’ll try to keep something of a running list of things disclosed about myself here for those who are curious but can’t be asked to read everything.
